Friday, September 15. 2006We suck - we know... So it’s been almost two months since the last update of the site, upsetting the loyal Canyonchasers following. We've gotten scads of emails asking us "where'd you guys go?” Well, this has been an extremely hard summer for the CanyonChasers crew. It all started when Kris had a freak Kawasaki Eliminator 125 accident that resulted in a fracture of her lateral malleolus (she broke her ankle) which prevented her from riding until just recently.  We also had to relocate our corporate offices to the other side of town, but the move has afforded us some luxurious new maintenance facilities! And if things couldn’t have gotten any more convoluted, Mike had an unfortunate “get-off” that resulted in a pretty serious fracture of his clavicle that will require a pretty delicate surgery. Needless to say, we haven’t done much updating of the site.  But, we have some exciting new things coming real shortly. We tried to make up for our lack of Sport Touring by racking up thousands of track miles on the new Miller Motorsports Park road course; allowing us to wear out several sets of sport and road tires. So, we’ll finally post our complete review of the Michelin Pilot Power Tires (are they as good as everyone says?), a full review of the Dunlop Qualifiers (Not you dad’s Dunlop), some Metzeler M3’s and the much anticipated full review of the Continental Sport Attacks. We also have a full review of the Ventura sport rack/luggage system ready to go. On top of that, we did manage to get a quick escape to Jackson Hole for an overnight trip that was documented by Dawn (as her first official Travel Log post to CanyonChasers) as well as some of her finest road photo’s to date! Before Mike wrecked his clavicle, he and his lovely Crystal sported off for ten-days through the Pacific Northwest and we’re currently in negotiations with the fair Crystal to convince her to do a write-up of their epic adventure. We’ve also been working closely with a new website www.onthethrottle.tv which has used us for subject matter on some basic bike maintenance and some sport touring video spots that will be posted on their site shortly. So please, don’t give up on us yet, we’ll have a chunk of new content popping up. Comments
